In 2026, I’m exploring the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce while learning the places, people, and rhythm of life here. From the historic downtown and the Lost Pines to the Colorado River, Bastrop carries a strong sense of identity shaped by history and nature.
Exploring the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce feels aligned with where I am right now, personally and professionally. As I continue building my business and settling into life here, I’m interested in understanding how local businesses connect, collaborate, and support one another, not just through events, but through shared values, conversations, and consistency over time. The Chamber feels like a space where those connections begin.
Before moving here, I had never heard of Bastrop, Texas. Learning about this community has sparked both excitement and curiosity for me, and I wanted a way to understand it beyond simply living here. I’m looking for the right kind of connections and exploring the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce feels like a step toward contributing in a positive way, learning where I fit, and showing up thoughtfully in my community.
In 2026, I’m excited to learn what meaningful involvement looks like beyond introductions and events. As an entrepreneur and a grandmother raising my toddler grandchild, I’m interested in understanding the people behind local businesses and the values that guide this community. I want to learn how relationships are built, how local voices are supported, and how I can contribute in a way that feels genuine and true to me, not just in theory, but in practice, by participating hands-on with intention as I continue building my life, my business, and my legacy here in Bastrop, TX.
2026 isn’t about arriving at a conclusion or claiming a role; it’s about being open to the process. I’m looking forward to learning, listening, and finding my place within the Bastrop community in a way that feels natural, sincere, and like home. I am open to the journey and grateful for the opportunity to begin with the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce.
This is Part 1 of an ongoing series as I continue exploring the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce in 2026
Update (01/23): I was contacted by a Bastrop Chamber Ambassador as part of my onboarding and had an initial conversation within the Bastrop business community. More to come in Part 2.
